The purpose of this project is to train students to be more attentive to the details in their surrounding and improve on their graphic communication skills. Students are given the freedom to use any kind of media to produce the drawings. For my sketches, i used a few medias which includes Artline pen, Kure marker, Color pencil and water colour. Although the time given to finish these sketches was limited, it was an interesting project which helped to improve my sketching skills.

Project 2: Measured Drawing
In this project, students are given a building in which they will carry out measuring works and translate their data into measured drawings and a model. The building that was assigned to my group is The Courthouse Musuem located in Batu Gajah, Perak. We were given a week's time to complete our tasks which includes measuring and collecting important and historical information about the building. Along the week, we divided ourselves into a few subgroups, which were site plan team, plan team, elevation team and section team. Each teams started measuring the areas of the building that would be covered in their drawings. I was in the section team and it was hard work trying to measure each and every inch of the structures of the building as they went through numerous renovations and were inconsistent. It was also a challenge to imagine the cut sections as some structures of the building could not be seen clearly. After getting back from the site, we started with our Autocad works and it was an interesting experience for me as we used to do manual drawings in the pass semesters. We completed 50 drawings which includes site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections and details. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience in Autocad throughout this project as the seniors were always there to help me when i face problems with the software. Project 3: Report & Video on Measured Building
This project includes the report and also the video regarding the building. The report is a document in which important information about the building is compiled into chapters in it. Students were to produce a 3000-6000 words document and were given two approaches to choose from:

We decided to research on History & Architecture after a thorough discussion among members. As part of the report team, information regarding the Courthouse Museum was difficult to obtain as there was limited information about the building, no matter in books from the library or the National Archive. Moreover, the staff in the office were new to the working environment and did not know much about the history of the building. Information about the building was also kept private and confidential in the JKR (Jabatan Kerja Raya). However, we obtained sufficieint information about the building through our observation and hardwork.
